Manufactured in 1943 by Mauser in Orberndorf Germany during WWII. This P38 9mm retains its original blued finish on its all steel construction unlike the post war variants that switched to alloy frames. Waffenamt Stamps on this pistol consist of, On left side: Serial # 5972 A, Eagle over 135 on frame, byf over 43, serial #5972 i. On Right side: Eagle over 135, Eagle over swastika, Eagle over 135. Front of frame below the barrel is Serial #5972. This is an all matching serial number pistol with �No Import Marks�. It also has the brown bakelite grips, lanyard ring, slide mounted thumb safety decocker, fixed sights, and bottom magazine heel release. Includes 1 – 8rnd magazine (No Numbers). Please see photos.
