Item description:

1939 GMC five-ton tanker truck with a capacity of approximately 1,000 gallons, owned by British American Oil (BA). To my knowledge, very few of these trucks were ever built. It would have been considered the ultimate truck of its kind in its day.

Picture taken in front of the BA bulk plant in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan. Standing in front of the truck are J.J. (Joe) Haack, plant manager, and a coworker. The picture was taken at the end of World War II. The truck was decorated for a victory parade celebrating the end of the war. Note the picture of Winston Churchill.
