1947 Chev Stylemaster Business Coupe. The 47 business coupe is very tough to find there are a few coupe’s and sedans but few business coupes remain on the road today. The car was restored in the mid 90’s, this was a very well done restoration. The restoration brought this car as close to original as possible. This car is in very nice shape and shows very well. Runs and drives good, used on a weekly basis in the summer months. Brake cylinders and master cylinder were replaced. The motor and transmission were pulled to replace engine seals, gaskets and do some valve work. Steering box and rear diff also had seal(s) replaced. It has the straight six cylinder motor with the three in the tree transmission. Included are some hard to find spare parts. There are some laminated sales brochures, and a display board to accompany this car. This is a really nice driver for cruise night, just putting around town or enjoying your local car show and shines.
This car was purchased for my Father. This exact same make model color, interior, everything was my dad’s very first car (which is still sitting in his pasture). Only once has my dad ever seen another exact car like this, that was back when he was a young man at a car show in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Since that day neither of us have seen another business coupe. I found this one and had to buy it for him, it was restored, but had not been on the road for many years. There was a lot of work put into this one to get it road worthy again. I was able to take my Father for a ride in this car and let him drive it. I discovered recently this car was reportedly restored in Saskatoon Saskatchewan – leaves one to wonder if this was the car he saw so many years ago.
