My name is Nate Toronchuk and I am a fifth year member with Freedom Naples 4-H Multi Club. This year my steer, Shaq, is a homegrown Simmental Angus cross progeny steer, because he is the first calf from my 2024 heifer project, Lila. I am really happy with how Shaq has grown this year, and I think that he will make a fantastic carcass for your freezer. He has been fed a diet of rolled barley, which has developed him into a powerful animal with depth and thickness. I’d like to thank Leon’s Carpet & Paints for supporting me last year by purchasing Shaq’s half brother, as the funds I raise in 4-H are added to my post-secondary savings account and to develop my cattle herd.
