“Les Bois” (The Woods) signed J. Donaint, depicts a beautiful barefooted woman, on a Green Onyx base, pressing a bird to her bosom. 

This lovely Antique French Mantel Clock features a movement marked A.D. Mougin under the bell and signed Riondet on clock face.  

The clock stands 21″ tall x 12″ wide x 6.5″ deep. It Winds, Ticks and Chimes Clearly. The Marble was repaired once upon a time. The minute hand is 180° off, it chimes the half hour on the hour and vice versa. It is a simple fix with the right tool. You are the clock expert, we are not.  T

A rare and complete “triple-signed” collector’s piece from the French Belle Époque.
Sculptor: Hand-signed J. Donaint on the base. The figure, titled “Les Bois” (The Woods) on its original brass plaque, depicts a finely detailed peasant woman holding a small bird, a rare and sentimental variation of this classic form.
Mechanism: Features a premium A.D. Mougin mechanical 8-day movement, stamped with the prestigious “Deux Médailles” star logo.
Retailer: The porcelain enamel dial is fully signed “H. Riondet Paris,” representing the famous luxury house at the Comptoir Général.
Condition: Housed on a variegated green onyx base. Includes the original signed H. Riondet pendulum, matching bell.        T
