The Marlin Glenfield Model 60 is an iconic, highly popular semi-automatic .22 LR rifle renowned for its exceptional accuracy, reliability, and affordability. Originally introduced in 1960 and sold under the budget-friendly “Glenfield” name until 1983, it has become one of the best-selling sporting rifles in history. The rifle operates on a simple and reliable direct blowback action, standout feature is Marlin’s patented Micro-Groove rifling, which uses 16 shallow grooves to provide a better gas seal and enhance accuracy compared to traditional rifling, JM stamped barrel, integral tubular magazine beneath the barrel. Capacity has varied over the years, from an original 18 rnds to a post-late 1980s to14 rnds of .22LR ammunition.Birch wood stock with pressed checkering, and a Tasco 3-9×34 with duplex reticle and 1″ rings.
