lovingly created by Yvonne Stowell of Mark of the Hand Studio in Crystal City,

Manitoba.

This stunning piece is a true labour of love. Yvonne used natural dyes made from

berries to create the unique and beautiful blend of colours found throughout the yarn.

She then carefully spun the yarn by hand and expertly knitted this exceptional vest,

creating a wearable work of art that cannot be duplicated.

Made from a luxurious blend of 60% wool, 30% silk, and 10% angora, this vest offers

warmth, softness, and elegance. Perfect for someone approximately 5’6″ and taller, it

is a versatile piece that can be enjoyed for everyday wear or dressed up for a special

occasion.

A rare combination of artistry, patience, and natural beauty, this handmade vest is a

Fibre Artist, Yvonne Stowell, moved from the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia to

Crystal City in July 2022. Her home studio is supplemented by outdoor workspaces –

the gazebo, park benches around the community and walking trails to the creek, as she

continues to design and create yarns and accessories.

Yvonne sources her fibres from local farmers and heritage breeds from around the

globe; and creates yarns and accessories inspired by the nature around her.
