Item description:

Original 1940s two-faced Raggedy Andy cloth doll, measuring approximately 12 inches in height as shown by the tape measure in the photograph. This doll stands out with its distinctive reversible face design—one side depicts open eyes and a cheerful smile, while the reverse presents a sleeping expression, both hand-painted directly onto the cloth. The hair is made of brown yarn and sewn securely around the crown. Andy wears his traditional checkered shirt with a broad collar and blue trousers with white buttons, indicative of period-correct early postwar manufacture.

The tag attached to the doll confirms the era and the unique double-faced characteristic. The overall wear, age toning, and patina on the fabric are consistent with its 1940s origin, offering collectors a charming piece of Americana with significant nostalgia and display appeal. Provenance is further strengthened by the original hand-sewn clothing.
