Textile square measuring approximately 16 inches by 16 inches, attributed to Vogue Needlecraft as identified by the fabric’s margin markings: “No. 80A PILLOW TOP AND BACK VOGUE NEEDLECRAFT.”
The piece depicts an embroidered and painted image of a dog and a cat, both finished with bows around their necks and set within a blue diamond motif. The textile was intended as a pillow top and back, possibly from a mid-century kit.
There is some prominent staining in one corner and general signs of handling, as shown in the detail photos.
The reverse side is plain. The iconic Vogue Needlecraft provenance, combined with its whimsical animal design, makes this a valuable textile collectible for enthusiasts of mid-century needlework kits and decorative fabric arts.
